Windswept Ben Collett-Mills is a big fan of Queen.
According to recent press reports Ben is no longer romantically linked with Siobhan Hewlett, the daughter of Therese McMurray, one of Sharon Osbourne's long-term pals. Maybe this has something to do with the song he's chosen for himself tonight, Queen's "Somebody To Love"?
Ben Collett-Mills sings "Somebody To Love" a cappella, with vocal accompaniment provided by the London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC).If Ben is really looking for Somebody To Love he should take a look behind him because there are plenty of lovely looking ladies in London Community Gospel Choir (a.k.a. the LCGC) who join him on stage for this number.

Ben felt he needed to do something special tonight and singing with the 20 strong choir is a bold move indeed. Technically it's an a cappella performance; however, the choral accompaniament is so rich it's almost orchestral.
It's a great sound and a great sight; our only concern is that the prominence of the choir is taking our focus off Ben's individual performance. Zooming in on Ben; he delivers a decent vocal but somehow seems disconnected from the song. Zooming out again, everything looks and sounds great, but for us the performance is more about the choir than Ben.

(Cheering and Applause. Sharon and Simon are up on their feet.)

Simon Cowell:  Full marks for bravery on that one, young man. Um ... that was very good. Very, very good.

Ben: Thank you.

Louis Walsh:  Ben, I think it was more than good. I think it was a very, very brave thing to do, to sing a Queen song a cappella with an amazing choir. You are a brave, brave man and you deserve votes.

Audience: Yeah!

Ben: (Smiling) Thank you.

Sharon Osbourne:  Yah. Ben, I've seen you do this all the way along this contest. But you know, you've had your good nights, your great nights and bad nights but every step along the way you've grown and you've tried to take it to a different level. And you know, I gotta take my hat off... you've wel succeeded.

Ben: (Laughs) Thank you so much!

Kate Thornton:  Ben, you've heard the panel, you've heard their comments, what would you like to say?

Ben: Firstly I would like to thank the choir, because you don't wanna know how quickly they learned that! Secondly I'm gonna thank you guys for the great comments, and just let you know that I am having the time of my life here on this show. I'm loving every second of it and there's still more I wanna do.

Kate Thornton:  That was a risky performance tonight.

Ben: (Nods) It was risky.

Kate Thornton:  Do you think you pulled it off, Ben?

Ben: I hope I pulled it off and it went to plan. It had to be risky, Kate. It had to be risky today, and you know, I did my best. So what more can I do? (Cheers)

Kate Thornton:  So was his best enough for you? (Kate gives out the voting details) Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for Ben!
