Twice As Nice treat The X Factor judges to some jungle rock.
Glaswegian pussycat dollies Karen Hunter, 21, and Carmen Cairns, 20 bring the jungle to the judges. Dressed as leopards in leather they swing their tails into the audition room and wimoweh their way into the X Factor hall of fame.

They sing a unique rendition of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" but if the lion could hear Karen's ear piercing chimp noises he'd get no sleep whatsoever!

As Sharon says the girls are "fantastically bad", but fantastic nonetheless.

Karen Hunter of Twice As Nice does her best to keep the lions awake at night with her cheeky chimp noises.
Despite being branded "utterly useless" by Simon these two little leopards aren't ready to change their spots. "I think we are in a different category altogether" says Karen with pride. Well, three nos mean they definitely aren't in 'The Groups' category, but there is one other category that comes to mind. Yes, 'The X Factor rejects', let's hope these 2 jungle cats make it on the season 3 tour and make some good monkey!

Panel-Bites:

Glaswegian duo 'Twice as Nice' talk-up their chances in the holding area...

Twice As Nice: We really got the 'X Factor'... Meow!

Karen: We think we've got the 'X Factor' because we're enthusiastic (lion roar), we're energetic (lion roar), we're bubbly (lion roar)... We thought of a song at first and then we thought better to have like a theme kind of thing. We started dressin' up and stuff and then that's how we came up with the whole outfit and performance. We're serious about wanting to be good and in fact we could definitely get to the final.

Carmen: We will win it!

Twice As Nice audition...

Simon Cowell:  Okay, so you are?

Twice As Nice: 'Twice As Nice'.

Simon Cowell:  And who... who came up with the image?

Karen: Ehm, it was because of the song we picked, we both kind of thought it would be good to have a theme.

Simon Cowell:  What is it, sort of a cat song or something?

Karen: It's 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight'.

Simon Cowell:  (Unenthusiastic) Oh great.

Sharon Osbourne:  (Brighter) Oh great!

Simon Cowell:  All right, off you go.

Twice As Nice perform...

Long silence...

Simon Cowell:  Worst group we've ever had.

Sharon Osbourne:  Fantasticly bad! (Karen smiles)

Simon Cowell:  No, worst group we've ever had!

Louis Walsh:  Everything about it, Sharon, was awful.

Sharon Osbourne:  Oh no.

Karen: We thought it would spice up your day a wee bit.

Louis Walsh:  It didn't.

Sharon Osbourne:  (In time with Louis) It didn't.

Simon Cowell:  Completely and utterly useless. Louis, yes or no?

Louis Walsh:  100 per cent no.

Simon Cowell:  Sharon?

Sharon Osbourne:  Girls, it has to be a no. (Karen grins) ...One more monkey noise before you go...

Louis Walsh:  Go on, do that again?

Sharon Osbourne:  ...Please!!

Karen: (Monkey noise) Oooh-ah-ah-ah-ah!

Simon Cowell:  That just about sums up the day. "Could I hear one more monkey noise".

After their audition Twice As Nice reflect on the experience...

Karen: I don't know if we're right for this competition, to be honest. Ehm, they are looking for a perfect idol and ah... ehm, that can sing ballads and things and I think we're in a different category altogether.
