Shayne seems to be getting much better at emoting a lyric and he imbues the vocal with all the passion and tenderness that this song could ever wish for. Lock up your daughters, because Louis may well be right in his assertion that every female in the UK is loving Shayne right now.

Of course there is one special female watching him very closely. Her name is Sharon, she had a 'thing' for him, now she has a thing about wanting to stretch him... and it seems that unlike Simon, she's not thinking about his vocals.

Shayne accepts her kind offer, but what the Dicken's can it be that needs stretching?

Louis Walsh:  (Introduction) Okay my second act up tonight is a young guy from Manchester. His name is Shayne Ward.

Shayne:  I'm on a high at the the moment now because of last week's performance.

Louis Walsh:  Shayne is gettng amazing comments on the show, even from Simon Cowell.

Shayne:  For Simon to turn around and say that I have the potential to be one of the best seven artists in this country... Ah, I can't... I can't explain it, I'm just really happy.

Louis Walsh:  I want him to get better and better. Nobody's safe in this show. Nobody. Last week proves that.

Shayne:  I really do believe that I would never have got this far in this competition without the help of Louis.

Louis Walsh:  This boy is so focused, he's so driven. He gives 110 per cent all the time.

Shayne:  The female attention has just been fantastic. It makes me more embarrassed but I've always wanted it, do you know what I mean... if I'm honest.

Louis Walsh:  This week with Shayne we've picked a love song. He already has a really big female following but I know after tonight every female in the UK is going to be in love with Shayne Ward.

Kate Thornton:  Simon, your comments, please?

Simon Cowell:  Not much to say on that, Shayne. I mean you breezed through that. Uhm... I'd like to hear you stretched a bit more next week, but you know you've got... you've got what we need. You've got teen appeal. They absolutely adore you. What more is there to say?

Kate Thornton:  Thanks Simon. Sharon?

Sharon Osbourne:  I agree with Simon, I'd like to see you 'stretched' a bit next week too. (Laughter)

Simon Cowell:  I didn't mean that kind of stretching.

Sharon Osbourne:  Oh yes you did!

Simon Cowell:  No I meant vocal stretching.

Sharon Osbourne:  Well that's what I had in mind.

Simon Cowell:  No you didn't.

Sharon Osbourne:  Oh well all right then.

Simon Cowell:  Dirty old cow. (Laughter)

Kate Thornton:  Louis you're mentoring Shayne. What would you like to say?

Louis Walsh:  Shayne!... I think Shayne is great. I'm so glad I picked him. He is going to be great in this competition, but nobody's safe, we need your votes.

Shayne:  True.

Kate Thornton:  Okay. (Cheers) What would you like to say back the judges Shayne? Simon and Sharon both want to see you stretched!

Shayne:  Sharon if you want to stretch me, stretch me. (Laughing) It's up to you. (Audience cheers. Sharon looks ecstatic) ...I mean, no, seriously... Again, thank you very much, I'm just really happy to get good comments again and I do need those votes... It's not just... I'm not safe for every week as people may think. I do need those votes so please vote for me. Please. (Big cheers from the audience)

Kate Thornton:  You heard him! Are you going to vote for Shayne? (Kate gives out the voting numbers etc.) but for now, Ladies and gentlemen, Shayne! (Cheers. Shayne gives Kate a kiss on the cheek and exits waving.)
