Phillip Magee Rocks Out Of The X Factor!

Phillip Magee seems more relaxed upon hearing what the panel have to say this week.
Phillip Magee rocks out of The X Factor contest tonight.
His performance of Johnny B. Goode was his best so far but not quite good enough to keep him in the contest.
Tough competition from the high quality field pushed Phillip into the dreaded bottom 2 spot along with Chico Slimani.
The Conway Sisters were the last act to be declared safe and Simon Cowell must be relieved that both of his remaining groups survived the public vote. With the other 2 mentors sticking with their acts, this meant that he had the casting vote tonight and he seemed to find the job of deciding which act should go home a lot easier than Sharon did last week!
Simon labelled Phillip and Chico's efforts as "two of the most bizarre performances I have ever seen in my life" and then made his decision "based on who I think the public would want to see back". Amid deafening studio noise he names Phillip as the act to go home. Naturally Phillip looked disappointed, but he still thanked Louis for giving him his chance to perform in the finals and shook his mentor's hand.
21-year-old Phillip, who hails from Larne in Northern Ireland, has shown great dignity up on The X Factor stage. He has kept his cool even when the judges' comments (particularly Simon's) have been less than complimentary.
He may not be happy with leaving in the early stages but he will be glad to have provided the nation with a little bit of rock and roll! That's where his heart is, and hopefully it's where his future lies too!
