Louis Walsh: (Introduction) Okay, last but not least, he's young, he's from Manchester. I think he's got a great future in music. His name is Shayne.
Intro clip... Shayne: Saturday was just the best day of my life really. The feeling I got when I was performing in front of all those people was the feeling of "Wow! I could be doing this for a lifetime, if that's the way it's meant to be. And it just made me feel more determined to stay in this competition, because I really do want this.
Louis Walsh: I can see something really special in Shayne. It's just... he has 'it'. Whatever 'it' is, he has it and I just know he was born to do this.
Shayne: I am so rarin' to get on that stage again and perform. I just cannot wait for it, the feeling that I got, it's the feeling that I want again, and again, and again. And knowing that I'm going to get that again is just brilliant.
Shayne sings...
Kate Thornton: Sharon, your comments please?
Sharon Osbourne: Shayne? Shayne, do you think you could sing that vibrato bit again so I can hold onto your parts... (Sharon grabs the air around her.) ...your private parts as you do it. (Audience laughter)
Shayne: Yeah, do you want me to do it again?
Sharon Osbourne: For the mamma! ...Please?
Shayne: (Singing) ...there any way that I can stay in your arrrrrrrrrrms! (Sharon is grabbing... the air again, not Shayne's privates, even though it sounds like she might have!)
(Rapturous applause from the audience) Sharon Osbourne: (Uses sign language to communicate her approval to Shayne)
Kate Thornton: Sharon? What did you think of the performance?
Sharon Osbourne: (Laughs suggestively. Audience laugh.) Just that... That's why I love this show. I love this show so much! Look at him, he's gorgeous. God!
Kate Thornton: Simon? Are you sharing those sentiments?
Simon Cowell: Shayne, young man, that was outstanding! (Big cheers) Outstanding. And credit where credit is due, Louis you are 100 per cent on the money with that. It was the perfect song for him. For me it is one of the best pop songs of all time. It is an incredibly difficult song. Forget the competition, under any circumstances that was an incredible performance. (Cheers) Incredible.
Kate Thornton: Thank you very much Simon. Louis?
Louis Walsh: Shayne, you have it all. You know you've got a great, great recording voice. I think you're going to be around for a long, long time. And that's the good thing about The X Factor. It's about developing young talent, and this is young talent. (Applause)
Shayne: Thank you ...thank you. I just want to say I'm not expecting to get positive comments all the time, and your negative comments, when you actually do give them me, will only make me more determined. Go Sharon.
Sharon Osbourne: Next week change the shirt. Don't like the shirt. (Laughter) New shirt!
Shayne: Do you want me to take it off?
Kate Thornton: (To Sharon) What now?
Sharon Osbourne: Yes please.
Shayne: (Tugs at his collar) Wooo-hooo!
(Women in the audience chant "Off! Off! Off!") Kate Thornton: Shayne... I mean... (Waits for audience to quieten) ...amazing comments. You must be pleased with yourself tonight?
Shayne: I'm over the moon with those comments. Like I said, they will make me better to perform even better next week and I'm... I'll show you what I can do next week definitely. (Audience Cheer)
Simon Cowell: (Gives Shayne the thumbs up)
Kate Thornton: Okay, so if you want to see Shayne do better next week, with or without his shirt ...(Gives out phone number etc.) ...but for now, ladies and gentlemen, it's Shayne. (Shayne kisses Kate on the cheek before leaving the stage.)
