Sharon Osbourne: (Introduction) Yes, next up we have the virgin bride of The X Factor, Maria.
Intro clip... Maria: It's just like I'd waited like my whole entire life just for that moment. That is what I wanna do, every day, all day, I live, sleep and breathe music.
Sharon Osbourne: She did great on Saturday. Even though nerves took it's toll on her.
Maria: I didn't know whether I was going to get any votes or anything, so I was really scared, really nervous. You know, people voted and it's like "Oh my god! I'm in for another week!"
Sharon Osbourne: This week we're gonna see another side of Maria and I think people are really gonna see why this girl is so special.
Maria: Simon mentioned that he felt that I only gave 50%. I'm going to give it 150% now I'm here I don't want to go anywhere.
Maria sings...
Kate Thornton: Simon, your comments please?
Simon Cowell: You look fantastic! (Maria is smiling broadly. Audience cheer) Absolutely fantastic. How's the marriage going?
Maria: It's going good. (Laughs)
Simon Cowell: (Mock disappointment) Whoopee! Ehm, you know what Maria I love you, I think you are one hell of a talented girl. I love the fact that you are walking on that stage like a star. You're performing like a star. Absolutely on the money tonight. Loved it. (Big cheers) Loved it.
Kate Thornton: Thank you Simon. Louis?
Louis Walsh: Maria, that was a really, really confident slick performance. And to sing a Michael Jackson song live is not an easy thing to do. You are a star. I hope you get a recording contract out of this. You really, really deserve it.
Maria: (Smiling) Thank you.
Kate Thornton: Thank you very much. Sharon, you're Maria's mentor. Did she do you proud?
Sharon Osbourne: Oh she did me proud and, I mean she's waited so long for this Maria it's been what... nearly 2 years? You were rejected last year... (Maria laughs) ...you're back this year...
Louis Walsh: (Reminding Simon) Rejected.
Sharon Osbourne: ...and you know, more power to you for not taking 'No' for an answer, and coming back again. (Cheers) ...Just, you know, what is there to say? I think that everybody has said it... you're a star.
Maria: Thank you.
Louis Walsh: Yes.
Kate Thornton: Judges, thank you very much. (Greets Maria) Maria! Wow!
Maria: (Laughs) Oh my god!
Kate Thornton: What do you say back to that?
Maria: Thank you so much, especially coming from such significant people like yourself it's like (pats her chest)...
Simon Cowell: Don't mention it.
Maria: ...it really touches my heart you know. Erm, I just love being here, I love singing, I love writing, I love performing and this is it for me. I just... ohh! I just want to be here for the long haul.
Kate Thornton: Simon... Simon said tonight that you are... you look like a star, you sound like a star. Do you feel like a star up on this stage?
Maria: Ehm, (Laughs) ...very nervous, but yeah I feel like a million dollars. (Smiling) Thank you for giving me the opportunity. (Cheers)
Kate Thornton: So Maria, all we've got to do now is to make sure you pick up those all important votes. Why should people vote for you tonight?
Maria: Because I want a career out of this. I love it so much, it makes me happy, I live, sleep and breath music. This is it for me, so erm, please vote for me. (Laughs)
Kate Thornton: So are you gonna vote for Maria? (Gives out phone numbers etc) ...For now, ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for Maria.
