Drama as 4Tune exit The X Factor

4Tune leave The X Factor tonight after an agonising wait for Sharon Osborne's deciding verdict. Sharon couldn't make her mind up between 4Tune and the other act in this week's bottom 2, Chenai Zinyuku.

It began to look as though Sharon would refuse to name the act to leave, in which case it would have been down to who had polled the fewest public votes.

4Tune close out their X Factor performance of The Jackson 5's "I'll Be There".
It began to look as though Sharon would refuse to name the act to leave, in which case it would have been down to who had polled the fewest public votes.
Eventually, with the programme ticking towards the ads and Louis Walsh vigorously appealing for her to save Chenai, Sharon named Chenai ... quickly adding that she was naming her to stay not to leave! 4Tune naturally looked gutted, they sang well in the early show and have shown great promise this season.
After only 2 weeks of finals Simon Cowell has lost 2 of his acts. Last week he told 4Tune "if you stay in the competition you're going to make it a much better competition", he was right. The contest has just lost a valueable act.
It looks like 4Tune have suffered from the well known phenomenon of everyone assuming they were safe. Tonight's result shows once again that no-one is!
Hopefully the 4Tune boys will go on to bigger and better things, they can be truly proud of their achievement this year and we wish them the best of luck for a great future in the music business!
