Louis Walsh: (Introduction) He's very young, he's very talented, he's actually very shy... watch for Shayne! Here he is.
Intro clip... Shayne: I still can't believe I'm in the final 4. I think the only time it will sink in is when I literally walk out on the stage in front of all those people. That's when it's going to kick in definitely.
Louis Walsh: I remember when Shayne walked into the room for the first audition and I thought "he looks like a pop star". All the judges wanted him, I'm so glad he's in my category.
Shayne: I do believe that this is my time to shine, and this is a massive opportunity for me. I'm gonna grab it with both hands, I'm not going to let it slip by, and I am ready for it.
Shayne sings...
Kate Thornton: Simon, your comments please?
Simon Cowell: (Nodding) Shayne... you... you are one to watch in this competition. Uhm, the only thing I would say is I think you are better than the song which I thought was a bit dreary. Ahm, I think you've got to be careful with your phrasing a little bit, 'cause it verges on a bit "pub-singerish". However, I can see you in this competition till the very, very end with better songs. (Cheers and Applause)
Kate Thornton: Thank you Simon. Sharon?
Sharon Osbourne: I don't think you really know how good you are, because you seem very insecure with yourself.
Simon Cowell: I agree.
Sharon Osbourne: You have a great voice, a great look. Let's see some real confidence next week!
Simon Cowell: A young song.
Sharon Osbourne: Yes... and a young song please next week! (Makes a prayer gesture) (Audience cheers)
Kate Thornton: Thank you Sharon. Louis? ... How did Shayne do for you tonight?
Louis Walsh: You know I'm really glad I picked this guy. I know I've got something really special in Shayne. I think he's got a great, great career and Simon said you're a pub singer. Every good singer I know, from Tom Jones to Engelbert... they all started off in pubs Simon, so he's only learning his trade. He's got a long career and I'm going to make you eat those words. (Cheers)
Kate Thornton: Okay, thank you judges. (Kate goes over to greet Shayne centre stage.)
Shayne: (Off mike) Hello darling. Can I have a kiss. (Kisses her cheek) Mmwah.
Kate Thornton: (Makes an aside to the camera, looking a little flushed!) Aren't I the luckiest girl in Britain! (Cheers) Mmm-hmm. (Serious now) Incredible comments there Shayne?
Shayne: Oh really good comments. I'm really happy with that, yeah.
Kate Thornton: Were you dreaming that tonight would play out as well as it has?
Shayne: Ohhh, dreaming's not the word. I mean... yeah, okay I was dreaming... (To Judges) Thank you very much... (Shaking his head) ...those comments (Cheers) ...will make me better. Those comments will make me better.
Simon Cowell: (Nods and winks at Shayne)
Kate Thornton: Simon says he can see you in this competition for a long long time, but of course in order for that to happen you've got to pick up votes. Why should people vote for you tonight, Shayne?
Shayne: People should vote for me because I really really want this. I really want this so... so badly. I really want it. Please vote for me. (Cheers)
Kate Thornton: I think there's a few people here that would like to see you back next week Shayne. I think that's safe to say. Well done! Ladies and Gentlemen, show your appreciation for Shayne.
