Sisters with stardust in their eyes!

The Conway Sisters - Sharon, Marie, Sinéad and Laura - impress the panel with their vesion of Kylie's "In Your Eyes".
"The Conway Sisters" - that's Sharon, Marie, Sinéad and Laura - definitely have a confident way about them. Before they audition Marie tells Kate "We do believe we have The X Factor, we really do. And we believe we're very talented."
They back up their claim by singing a tuneful 4 part harmony version of Kylie's "In Your Eyes" to the panel. One can't help but wonder what it is that Louis' eyes are seeing. An Irish "Girls Aloud" perhaps? Or maybe he's just thinking "Corrs!" (Although thankfully none of the Conway sisters look anything like Jim Corr!)
Louis says that the girls have potential but would benefit from grooming. He has a point, the sisters' audition outfits don't really complement each other.
Simon singles out Marie (who seems to be the spokes-sister for the group) as having an interesting voice. Certainly it was the easiest vocal to distinguish during their audition, although they all harmonised well.
Spokes-sister Marie Conway gets compliments for her vocal performance.
Despite the positive comments Marie still pleads to the judges "Give us a chance!" The judges already seem sold on the sisters and it's a unanimous Yes.

Panel-Bites:

Marie:  We do believe we have The X Factor, we really do. And we believe we're very talented.

Simon Cowell:  And what are you gonna sing?

Marie:  Kylie Minogue's 'In your eyes'.

Simon Cowell:  Wow. Okay?

Marie:  Okay.

Simon Cowell:  Off you go.

Girls sing...

Simon Cowell:  Okay, okay. (Points) What's your name?

Marie:  Me?

Simon Cowell:  Yeah.

Marie:  Marie.

Simon Cowell:  I think you have an interesting voice.

Louis Walsh:  Simon, I think they have potential. They need grooming, they need styling, but I think there's a raw talent there.

Sharon Osbourne:  I do.

Marie:  (Upbeat.) Give us a chance!

Louis Walsh:  I will.

Simon Cowell:  Sharon?

Sharon Osbourne:  Yes. (The girls are full of smiles)

Marie:  Thank you.

Simon Cowell:  The good news is you're through to the next round.

(The girls jump for joy.)
