Nice Face But Shayne's About The Voice!

Shane makes a good impression on the X Factor panel. He has the right image and the right voice!
Shop assistant Shayne Ward confesses to a few nerves prior to greeting the panel, but he shows no trace of that during his performance of Elton John's 'Sacrifice'.
The classically good looking 20 year old is blessed with a voice to match. He has a distinctive vocal tone, with just a hint of raspiness. Shayne's appeal is as obvious as the beaming smile on Sharon's face as she watches him perform. Even as he sings the words "cold, cold heart" one senses the hearts of the judges are warming!
"I like your whole image" Simon tells him. It's a unanimous 'Yes'. Sharon even gets a blown kiss from the handsome auditionee in return for her 'Yes'!
Shayne heads out of the room towards Boot Camp, stopping to give Kate Thornton a hug on the way.
Back in the audtion room Sharon sums up the feelings of the panel "Beautiful face... and he can sing."

Panel-Bites:

Louis Walsh:  Hello

Simon Cowell:  Hi!

Louis Walsh:  Are you Shayne?

Shayne:  I am Shayne yeah.

Louis Walsh:  Shayne, why are you here?

Shayne:  I'm here to perform for you, to show you that I've got talent for this competition.

Louis Walsh:  Okay, what are you going to sing.

Shayne:  I'm going to be singing 'Sacrifice' by Elton John.

Louis Walsh:  Great song. Off you go.

Shayne sings...

Simon Cowell:  (raises his hand and looks to Louis)

Louis Walsh:  I like him.

Simon Cowell:  So do I.

Louis Walsh:  I like you.

Shayne:  Well thank you very much.

Simon Cowell:  I like your whole image.

Shayne:  Okay.

Simon Cowell:  I like the fact that you don't look 'stage school'. (To Sharon) You know what I mean?

Sharon Osbourne:  Yeah. He looks real.

Simon Cowell:  You look real. Uhm, and you're confident. I think you have a good voice.

Shayne:  Thank you.

Simon Cowell:  Sharon, 'Yes' or 'No'?

Sharon Osbourne:  Yes.

Shayne:  Thank you. (Blows a kiss to Sharon)

Simon Cowell:  Louis?

Louis Walsh:  Yes.

Shayne:  Thank you.

Simon Cowell:  Shayne, 'Yes' from me. Three yeses, you're through to the next round.

Shayne:  (After the audition - screaming) Yaaaaa!

Kate Thornton:  Wheyyy! Well done! Well done!

Shayne:  (Hugs Kate)
