The X Factor - The Final Three

Tonight is perhaps the most nerve-racking of the series for the X Factor mentors because they all know that one of them will drop out of the contest at the end of the evening.

Amazingly they each have one act left in the contest at the start of the semi-final ('the final 3') show and the acts couldn't be more different...

Once again Sharon is accomponied by her beloved bow-wow for the final 3 show.

G4 Louis Walsh's classically trained clean-cut 'popera' singers.

Each act has already established a strong and disparate fan base, it's the reason they've made it to the final 3! The excitement of this contest is enhanced by the fact that they are all so evenly matched. Even at this stage there isn't a clear runaway favourite.

Jonathan's sharp reply seems to have got to Simon Cowell's bottom lip!

To stay in this competition all three acts know they need to turn in a couple of good performances tonight!
