Last week Louis Walsh criticised Simon for using a backing choir for each of his acts. Louis said it was a gimmick.

Perhaps Simon took those comments to heart; he makes it clear that this next performance will have none of that!

"Without any gimmicks, without any frills, just a piano, I'm going to introduce the amazing Rowetta!"

Tonight Simon has arranged for Rowetta to replay the bootcamp moment that converted him to her cause.

Earlier this week he reminded her "There was a moment on the second day (of bootcamp) when you sang a particular song, when we all looked at eachother and went 'this girl is good!'"

Rowetta remembers that moment well, it was when Simon finally told her she could sing!  The song she sang was Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and yes, he's asked her to sing it again tonight.

She delivers another awesome performance. Her powerful and resonant voice sings out a vibrant rainbow which she colours with emotion.

There is tremendous applause from the audience as the song ends, but will panellists Louis and Sharon provide Rowetta with a pot of golden comments?

Kate: Rowetta, it's time for the judges' verdict! Louis!

Louis: Rowetta, you know I really, really love you. I think you're fantastic, and tonight you made that song your own, because it's one of those songs you hear on every talent show everywhere. And I just think, you reminded me a little bit of Shirley Bassey. I think you're fantastic. You know what I really like about yer? The fact that you don't know that you're as good as you are. (Rowetta looks to be close to tears...again!) Your a... you're a diva! You're wonderful. And I love ya! (big cheers)

Kate: One down, one to go. Sharon.

Rowetta: (To Louis) Thank you.

Sharon: Rowetta. You know you can fly over that bloody rainbow. You've already done it missus! (cheers)

Rowetta: And you have.

Sharon: Huh?

Rowetta: And you have too!

Sharon: Together!

Rowetta: (emotional) We have.

Sharon: And just... (shakes her head, unable to find the words)

Rowetta: (to Sharon) Thank you.

Sharon: Like Louis... you know everybody loves you Rowetta!

Louis: Everybody.

Rowetta: No.

Sharon: Go on, get off!  ...You're great... Go home already, you've won!

Rowetta: Thank you.

Kate: Simon, Sharon says she's won.

Simon: (standing at Rowetta's side, he looks her straight into her eyes) I want to address this to you, because you asked me once if you were a good singer. You're not, you are a great singer! (big cheers) And I think you're world class!

Rowetta: Thank you.

Simon: I really do.(Rowetta smiles) I think you look fantastic, you sounded fantastic.

Rowetta: I have to thank Sinitta and Annie tonight, because they've really helped me with styling, because I hate seeing meself on t.v. (Sinitta blows kisses to Rowetta). I hate doing all the styling and the vocal bits. So thank you so much girls. And you Simon, you've given me confidence. So thank you! (Lots of applause, Rowetta looks a little overwhelmed) Shit...Sorry...(inaudible)

Kate: You've heard amazing feedback yet again Rowetta. People at home might consider you to be safe. They may not think that you need their votes for tonight. Your chance to convince them otherwise now.

Rowetta: An I'm really upset. I ain't got a record deal. He's not offered me...I'm... it's going on still..."I'm unmanageable" (Simon laughs). No, I'm still proving myself to him. If you don't vote for me, seriously, I don't know what I'm gonna do, really. No I'll go back to... don't make me go backing vocalling with the Happy Mondays again, I don't wanna do that! Honest to god! Please vote for me! Please! Cos I'm loving yer...(inaudible due to audience applause and laughter).
