2 To Go - I've Had The Time Of My Life (Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes)

Louis seems to be in his own little world when Kate asks him to introduce his second act of the night.

"Louis! ....Louis!!!" she yells.

Eventually he looks up. "Oh yeah, are we back on air?" he asks dreamily. Naturally he blames Simon for trying to put him off!

His introduction is short and simple "We've got Peter and Emma, the very, very wonderful 2 To Go"

Their videoclip shows Louis, Pete and Emma chatting earlier this week. They are analysing what went wrong with last week's performance, which landed them in the bottom two. Emma suggests it might have been the song, and Louis comes up with a 'more uptempo' offering for this week.

Louis also decides to sax up tonight's performance, by asking Peter to play saxaphone and keyboards. Peter seems excited with the prospect!

On stage Peter and Emma deliver a decent performance, marred slightly by patches of pitchiness. Peter's sax interlude is refreshing, but will it freshen up the Simon Cowell's opinion of their act?

Kate: Okay, 2 To Go, it's time for the judges' verdict! Simon!

Simon: Okay. I've said this before, Peter I like your voice 'but' the object of this competition is to find an artist...artists, who can sell records. And what Louis has done with the whole presentation tonight, with all the instruments... and you are a very good saxaphone player... has turned this act into something you would see in a cocktail bar in Magalluf! (loud boos - Peter smiles) No difference at all, because you...

Louis: I don't know what kind of cocktail bars you go to Simon, but I've never seen anything like this anywhere at all. Simon! Simon the problem with you is you don't understand talent. This poor guy is blind, he can play keyboards, he can play sax, he can sing. And Emma has improved so much!

Simon: Louis!

Louis: They're very, very (inaudible because of audience noise)...

Simon: Louis. Louis. With the greatest respect, I think you're patronising Peter.

Louis: I'm not!

Simon: Yes you are. (applause becomes muted) You are, you are, you are. And er, that was cheap. You know this is supposed to be an honest criticism of what you as a manager have done for your artist, and actually they deserve better than that.

Kate: Thank you Simon. Sharon?

Sharon: Yea, Lou-lou I know you didn't think about what you just said! He's not a poor guy... I wish I was him! I wish I had half his bloody talent! I'd give (inaudible) ...

Louis: But Sharon...

Sharon: I know what you're saying, and I'm just taking it back for you because I know you didn't mean that... what you said before.

Louis: No.

Peter: It's alright Louis. It's alright Louis.

Sharon: But Peter, you just amaze me with your talent. I love you. And Emma you get more confident every week. I wasn't crazy about the song choice but I'm crazy about you two.

Louis: Thank you very much!

Kate: Pete and Emma, anything you'd like to say back to the panel tonight?

Peter: Err, I just can't quite understand what all this is about, this hotel thing. I mean, I haven't seen any acts playing sax and keyboard that have been number one lately have you? Do you know what I'm saying?

Louis: No, no.

Peter: It is different, for goodness sake.

Simon: But that's my point.

Louis: It's about talent, he has talent.

Simon: But Louis I'm sticking up for their talent!

Louis: They should be...

Simon: I'm sticking up for it.

Kate: Okay guys...thank you very much! Ladies and Gentlemen, Louis and 2 To Go!
