Cassie Compton - Alfie (Cilla Black [UK] or Dionne Warwick [USA])

Sharon bills the diminutive Cassie as "a little girl with a huge voice!"

Sharon Osbourne wants to ‘enhance’ Cassie’s image, so she gets Ozzy’s nephew and Channel 4’s ‘The Salon’ stylist Terry Longdon to work on Cassie’s lovely locks.

Cassie definitely doesn’t want a fringe, so she definitely gets a fringe! However it really suits her, even though it does make her look even more Charlotte Church-like.

Cassie sings ‘Alfie’, the Burt Bacharach composition which Cilla Black sang for the soundtrack of the film of that name. Dionne Warwick also had success with this number in the USA.

Sassy Cassie, as Kate Thornton calls her, does a really great job. She’s pitch perfect and picture perfect! That’s what we think anyway...what about those judges?

Kate: Simon?

Simon: Erm...

Sharon: Beat that one!

Simon: Thank you Sharon. Erm...you know once again, y’know you’re a nice looking girl, you have a very good voice... but it was all... (slight pause) I felt the song by the way was hideous. (Groans) I really, really did. It really did...It reminded me of a child auditioning for a musical. And the show is called ‘The X Factor’ so sympathy doesn’t come into this. Does this girl out of fifty thousand have the X Factor? (Shouts of ‘yes’) I don’t think so.

Kate: Thank you. Louis?

Sharon: I give Louis...Louis...!

Louis: What drugs is this man on?!! Sharon is he taking some of Ozzy’s drugs?

Sharon: Let me tell you something! He (Simon)... this is prime bait for him, ‘cause she’s little,

Louis: She’s gorgeous.

Sharon: She’s seventeen. (To Simon) This is prime bait for you! Because you always pick on kids. You always pick on kids! (Cheers) You pick on a man your own age Simon!

Simon: Sharon...

Sharon: Pick on a man for once your own age!

Simon: Sharon, its got nothing to do with picking ... its supposed to give an honest assessment. If you’re...

Sharon: Yea...and all you’re doing is making this personal against me...and you!

Cassie gets caught up in the middle of a simmering feud between Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell.

Simon: Nothing personal...

Sharon: And its got nothing to do with this kid...

Simon: Nothing personal Sharon...

Sharon: It’s personal Simon

Simon: It’s not personal.

Louis: Sharon the public are...the public do not like this man...they’re gonna love this girl. You’re away, she’s great! (Cheers)

Sharon: Don’t take it out on her Simon.

Phew! That was heavy going!

Mother hen Sharon sure knows how to look after her little chickens! They’re very clucky to have her!
